Spring is finally here so I thought we'd make some beautiful tissue paper tulips! They are easy to make and they're great for a homemade Mother's Day gift! These flowers will never die :-)
Materials Needed:
- Tissue paper
- Water bottle
- Egg carton
- Green and yellow pipe cleaner
- Glue/Mod podge
- Knife (or something to a poke a hole with)
Grab a recycled water bottle and pull the paper label off. Fill it with some water and cut one "cup" out of an egg carton. Make sure it's completely level and smooth around the edges.
Cut flower petal shapes out of tissue paper (4 big ones and 4 little ones). Put glue on a paintbrush and spread it around the egg carton, pressing the tissue paper to it.
Add some glue on the inside of the egg carton and stick the smaller tissue paper petals. Poke a hole through the bottom with a knife and stick a little yellow pipe cleaner through. Bend it backwards and cut off the extra. Twist a long green pipe cleaner to the yellow one and stick it in the bottle!
Put glue all over the water bottle and stick on random size tissue paper pieces to make a stained glass look. So pretty in the sun!
