Looking for a fun craft to do with the kids this Valentine's? I'm always on the lookout for new craft ideas. I recently seen a craft stick puzzle and I loved it. I knew right away that my boys would love it too! But I wanted to make my own version and have the boys help.
This would also be a great Valentine's for the classroom, if you want to go the non candy route.
For this fun craft you’re going to need:
SUPPLIES
- Popsicle Sticks
- Paint
- Paint Brush
Getting Started
Pick out your craft sticks. You will need a total of 10 sticks for each puzzle.
Step 2 - Paint Sticks
Add two coats of paint for the background color of the puzzle. Let each coat dry 10 minutes.
Step 3 - Add Design
Now the fun part, adding your design! My pattern for this one was inspired by my new Starbucks cup (LOVE IT).
Press the sticks close together so that you can paint on your designs, it makes it a lot easier.
Finishing Touches
Now that you're finished, it's time to have some fun. My three year old is obsessed with puzzles right now and he grabbed these right away to play with.
I plan on making these with my sons class for their Valentine's Day party. I think they'll have a great time thinking of ways to make their puzzles. Plus you can make a puzzle like this for any holiday!
