I found some pretty stones and thought they'd be the perfect shapes to make some turkey crafts! You could have your kids decorate rocks and put them at the Thanksgiving table or fill a vase with them! They are super cute and the kids could make their turkeys each have their own facial expressions. If you want these to be a keepsake, hot glue a magnet to the back of them and stick em' on the fridge!
Materials Needed:
- Acrylic paint
- Paintbrush
- Googly eyes
- Orange, red, and yellow paper
- Glue/Scissors
Find some nice smooth and flat rocks that are either circles or oval shaped. I found these beauties from Lake Superior!
To make the bigger turkey, cut out six tear drop shapes and glue them to a piece of white paper. Paint the stone brown and glue it on top of them. Add some eyes, beak, gobble, and funny legs! To make the little rock turkeys just use a small paintbrush and start out by painting a small brown head in the middle. Finish them with pretty colored strokes going out around it.
