Make this frugal craft with your kids for St. Patrick's Day! It's a Leprechaun hat made from an empty toilet paper roll! You could play with it or cut slits on the top to make place-cards for your st. pattys party!
You will need green/black construction paper, a recycled toilet paper roll, glue, scissors, and 8 gold sequins.
Cover the toilet paper tube with the green paper and put a strip of black paper around it.
Put glue around the bottom of the toilet paper roll and stick it to the circle green paper. Hold and push down for at least 30 seconds to a minute. That is the trickiest part about this craft, getting the bottom to attach! Then put a drop of glue on each sequin and stick them in a square shape.
We decided our St. Patrick's Day hat was a little too long on top so we cut ⅓ off the top and made the bottom green circle smaller. It's up to you how you want it to look!
My puppy Sadie wanted to try on the Leprechaun hat :) "Take this off me right NOW, mom" haha!
