Besides the popsicle stick scarecrow and Frankenstein we made, this witch craft was a must-do! I think this is a great activity for kids because they get to do all of their favorite art things in one project (painting, cutting, gluing, coloring, drawing, etc!) This little witch is ready for Halloween!
Materials Needed:
- 7 Popsicle Sticks
- Cardboard (cereal box)
- Scissors
- Black, brown, white, and yellow paper
- Black sharpie
- Green paint
- Glue
Cut a rectangle out of a piece of cardboard (we used a cereal box) and glue on the 7 popsicle sticks, pressing down hard.
Paint all of the sticks with a darker green paint and let dry.
Now is the fun part - decorating your little witch! Add a hat, hair, and a broom stick out of construction paper to make her fabulous! Use the black sharpie to make her big nose, wart, mouth, and eyelashes. For the eyes we cut out two white ovals with paper and drew on the pupils. The broom is just glued to the back of the cardboard. Love her!
