After doing our marbled shaving cream paper the other day, we decided to make a marbled Earth craft for Earth Day! It's a simple and easy art project that will EXCITE your kiddos! I would recommend getting those cheap gloves to do this though as it stains fingers (especially if you use food coloring - yikes!)
Materials Needed:
- Shaving cream
- Blue and green paint
- Cookie sheet
- Straw
- Popsicle stick
- Paper plate
Start by squirting some white shaving cream onto a cookie sheet in a circle shape. Spread it smooth with a straw. Put drops of blue and green paint all over and swirl with the straw.
Take a white paper plate and press the bottom into the shaving cream. Press down so the whole plate is covered in paint. Take it off and then use a straight edge (wide popsicle stick) to wipe off the shaving cream. Let dry.
Now pretend you're looking at Earth from outer space! Next time I would use less paint so more white shows through.
