Today we decided to make a submarine craft using recycled toilet paper rolls! This art project isn't for the younger kids as it has a lot of steps involved and cutting. Kids can make their submarine any color they want!
Materials Needed:
- 2 toilet paper rolls
- orange/blue paper
- glue/tape
- scissors
- drinking straw
Start by gluing the piece of blue paper around an empty toilet paper roll. Take another roll and cut it about half way then measure a circle on top of the other one with it. Measure an orange piece of paper to go around the tube and cut three holes. (we actually taped the orange paper around the tube and then cut the bigger hole together so it was easier to match up)
Tape a drinking straw inside the smaller tube and wrap it with blue paper.
Crumple up some paper; stuffing one with a kleenex for the front of the submarine and taping an orange piece on the back part.
Put the pieces together and you've got a cool submarine to play with!
