If using vinegar (brighter colors on eggs) soak your eggs in the vinegar for about 2 minutes. Be careful not to forget them.
Spread your cool whip out about an inch thick onto a baking sheet or platter.
Drop dots of the food coloring all over the cool whip and use a spoon to gently swirl the color. Do not mix the color too much. Coat the eggs in the mixture and place them in the fridge for 30 minutes. I just left mine on the platter.
