Today we got out the shaving cream and put it to some good use ~making marbled paper! Kids love doing this as you can make tons of designs with all different colors. Not only is the process fun but you can turn the final papers into more art! We made butterflies but the possibilities are endless!
- Acrylic Paint
- White shaving cream
- Wide popsicle stick
- Card stock paper
- Cookie Sheet
Start by spraying shaving cream all over a cookie sheet. Then take 3-4 colors of acrylic paint and put drops all over. Take a straw and make swirl designs, making sure theres still white showing.
Place a piece of paper on top of the shaving cream and press it down so all of it touches. Carefully lift up one corner and set aside. Wait 2-3 minutes then take a straight edge (we used a wide popsicle stick) and scrape off all the shaving cream.
Let it dry and you’ll see some awesome designs! Try with other colors too!
We folded our papers and cut a butterfly shape. Then we taped on some pipe cleaners for the antennas…soo pretty!Make sure to follow Crafty Morning on Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram or subscribe to our Weekly Newsletter! :)
