I got the honor of babysitting a two year old yesterday and she wanted to do art just like her big sister. I asked her what color paint she wanted and she pointed to the blue one. At first I had no idea what we were making, all she wanted was her hands painted. After she stamped her hand twice on the paper I could see they would be the perfect handprint elephants! They turned out very cute!
Materials Needed:
- Blue paint
- Black marker
- White paper
- Small paintbrush
Start by painting your child's hands with blue paint and have them stamp it against a piece of paper. Take a small paintbrush and draw a little tail next to the pinky finger!
Once the blue paint dries, take a black sharpie and draw the elephants features. For the eyes we cut out white circles and glued them on.
Finish off the craft by writing "E is for elephants!" if you want to incorporate letter learning in this art project :)
