Here is an easy art project you can do with any age child- a giraffe toilet paper roll craft! I had my 5 year old friend help me and she did great with the gluing and coloring part. All you need is a recycled empty toilet paper roll to get started! You can definitely get more creative than I did because we didn't have much time to do it. I think this activity would be great if you're teaching your kids about giraffes or going to the zoo. Enjoy!
Materials Needed:
-Toilet Paper Roll
-Yellow and white construction paper
-Black and orange marker
-Glue stick/Tape
-Scissors
First have your child glue the entire toilet paper roll and piece of yellow paper measured to fit the tube.
Roll it around the tube and hold for 30 seconds. Next take a orange marker and draw spots on the body.
Cut out all the pieces to the giraffes head and neck. Draw more spots and a mouth. Cut out a small circle with white paper to be the eye. Tape or glue them together and take the whole piece and glue it inside the toilet paper roll. You might need an extra piece of paper on the back so the neck can stand up by itself.
Cut some slits on the bottom tube to make it look like legs and there you have a cute little recycled giraffe for kids!
