Here's a fun craft for kids to do for St. Pattys day! It involves painting their hands (they LOVE this part!) These leprechaun handprints can be used on St. Patrick's Day cards as a gift or anything you want!
All you need is orange/green/tan colored paint, googly eyes, a black sharpie, black/yellow paper, scissors, and glue!
Paint your childs fingers orange and the middle a skin-colored paint. Have them press it hard down on a piece of white paper.
Get a paintbrush and have them draw a Leprechaun hat with green paint. Using a paintbrush, dap some orange paint under the hat and around the top of the head. You could also paint it on your child's hand at first but we forgot to and it worked fine :-D
Add googly eyes, a mouth with black sharpie, and a dot for a nose. Cut a skinny strip of black construction paper and press it on the green hat. Then cut out a square with yellow paper, fold it and cut a square out of the inside. Glue it to the hat and you have a fun Leprechaun art project for St. Patrick's Day!
