Here's a great craft for preschoolers or any young age! You can make a starfish using cheerios! All you need is a pink piece of paper, scissors, glue, cheerios, and glitter (optional). I did this project with a 4 year old and I put the glue dots for her. She loved pressing the cheerios on! I also had my Martha Stewart glitter so she insisted on using that as well. I think it turned out great!
Draw and cut out a starfish shape with pink construction paper (doesn't have to be perfect) and crease lines on each leg.
You can either have the child put glue dots all along the starfish or you can do it for them. Put cheerios in a pile and have them put one on each dot telling them to push on them to stick.
Once the cheerios have dried and stay in place go over each one with a glue stick.
Shake the pink glitter over the starfish!
We added straight lines with glue and poured more glitter on it.
DONE! Glue the pink starfish to a white piece of paper and title it "Starfish" and have them write their name on the bottom. Loves it!
