I had ordered a bunch of mason jars from online and wanted to make some crafts with them! Today my friend Katie and I decided to make mason jar vases to put flowers in! They turned out super cute and can be used for any event such as weddings, baby showers, birthdays, or to set on your kitchen table.

We actually used fake flowers to put in the vase and they looked gorgeous as well!

You will need hemp, a scissors, a mason jar, pinecone, fabric, and a hot glue gun.

Start by wrapping the hemp around the empty mason jar. You can either hot glue it on or just tie it in the back (that's what we did!)

Using a hedge clippers cut the pine cone to the amount you want for your "flower" piece. We tried using a knife but it didn't work so well!

Grab your hot glue gun and put some on the back of the pine cone. Hold it against the hemp for at least a minute to make sure it's secure.

I realized my pine cone was cut too thick; it sticks out farther than I wanted it too so keep that in mind!

In case you want to use this mason jar for storing things you can add a piece of fabric and glue it to the inside of the mason jar top.

LOVE how it turned out!

I made this mason jar vase with a good friend (KatiesCrochetGoodies.com) and she made a fabric crocheted flower vase! Go check out her tutorial!
