Gold Foil Easter Eggs

Make some gorgeous gold foil easter eggs! What a unique way to decorate with the kids! I’d love a bowl of blown out eggs as a centerpiece for Easter!

Supplies Needed:
- Faux, paper mache eggs (You can use real eggs – just hard boil them or blow them out first)
- Acrylic paint – white + colors of your choice
- Liquid Gold Leaf
- Paint brush
- Craft sponge
- Floral Foam
- Flat head pins
Instructions:
In a piece of floral foam, push in flat head pins.  This will be your drying station so the eggs can dry elevated so your paint doesn’t smudge. Â
Paint your eggs white.  If you are using dark colors you can omit this step if you want, but for lighter colors it’s a must! Â
Allow the paint to dry and then paint your choice of color. Â
Allow to dry again.  Luckily this doesn’t take long to dry!
Cut a piece of craft sponge to use in the gold leaf.  Before opening, shake your gold leaf well. If you don’t it will come out a reddish color. Â
Pour a bit of gold leaf onto a paper plate and sponge it as little or as much as want on your eggs. Â
Allow to dry and display!
