I came across this adorable "Cookies for Santa" plate from Faith on Instagram and just had to share! Her kids used their hand and foot prints to make an adorable reindeer and Christmas tree.
You will need ceramic paint/pens (acrylic enamel paint) to do this art project! Wash and dry your ceramic plate making sure there is no dirt or oil on it. Paint your child's hand/foot and have them press it against the plate (it will be slippery so have them try not to move around). Take some ceramic pens and draw Christmas lights and write "Cookies for Santa." Once you are happy with the design, set the plate on a baking pan and bake for 30 minutes on 300 degrees. *DO NOT preheat oven, let the plate warm up gradually with the oven so it doesn't shatter!* Take it out and let cool. If you are planning on using this for edible cookies, make sure you look for toxic-free ceramic paints. Otherwise, it would be cute to display on a stand!
