Here's a different spin on an American flag art project for the 4th of July! Grab some aluminum foil from the kitchen and turn it into art! A thicker sponge brush works better, the kids will have to keep putting lots of paint on a regular brush.

Materials Needed:

Start by ripping a rectangle piece from the tin foil. Grab some blue painters tape and make the stripes. Cut out a star from card stock paper and tape it to the flag. Have the kids paint over it with blue.

Take off the star and have them use white/red paint to make the stripes on the flag. Done!
