What little girl doesn't love mermaids?  They are beautiful, mysterious, & get to swim around all day. Here's an interesting fact about these mythical creatures: Aquamarine is said to have been made of mermaid tears & would protect sailors from the ocean.

  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Glitter glue
  • Pencil and/or marker
  • Card stock
  • Foam paper
  • Gems

Now let's make a Mermaid tail....

Use the foam paper to draw & cut out the mermaid tail.

Glue the tail onto the stock paper & outline in glitter glue.

Add the gems & you are done!!!

According to some folklore, a mermaid’s kiss is said to infuse a human with the ability to travel underwater.
