If you have some extra paper plates lying around, grab two to make a sweet little paper plate bear craft! This craft involves a lot of steps with cutting and painting so younger kids will probably need some guidance.
Materials Needed:
- 2 Paper plates
- Brown paint
- Paintbrush
- White/tan paper
- Black marker
- Glue/tape
- Scissors
Start by cutting a piece out of the bottom of a paper plate making it look like the bear's "feet" on each side. Then take another paper plate and cut out the middle circle leaving two ear shapes on top. Paint them completely brown. From the scraps cut out a small tail as well.
Cut an oval out of tan paper and draw a nose/mouth on it. Take some white paper and make two eyes.
Finish off the craft by taping or gluing the pieces together. I found that rolling pieces of tape and sticking it on the head PLUS taping from the back worked best to hold it up. Isn't he just the cutest little bear?
