In honor of Norman Bridwell (the author and illustrator of Clifford the Big Red Dog who died this month) I decided to make a paper plate Clifford craft that kids can make! It's pretty easy and involves some cutting/painting skills.
Materials Needed:
- Paper plate
- White and black card stock paper
- Black sharpie
- Glue
- Scissors
Start by cutting the paper plate into Clifford's face shape (you should draw with pencil first for the kids).
Have the kids paint the plate and paper ears with red paint. While those are drying, cut out some eyes and a nose with paper. Draw the pupils with a black sharpie.
Glue on the ears, eyes, and nose. When the plate is completely dry, draw a mouth and eyebrows with sharpie. Done!
