Start by cutting a rectangle out of colored paper. Fold it back and forth until you get to the end. Pinch it together and then fold it in half. Tape the middle parts together and glue the middle bottom part. Lay it flat against a folded paper card and glue it down. Draw an umbrella handle with a black marker.

Cut out a triangle for the little girl's dress, a round face, and some rain boots.

Grab some markers and add a smile, arms, freckles, and eyelashes! Get out some blue watercolors and have the kids get lots of water vs color on their brushes to make puddles and rain drops. These did not work out the way I thought they would by dripping down, oh well! They could just use blue markers to draw rain drop shapes.
