Today i'm sharing one of my favorite activities to do with the kids! Have you ever seen how Eric Carle illustrates his books? You can watch this video here to learn more!
With this art project, you will give the kids a couple pieces of white paper and colored paints. Have them paint the pieces of paper different colors and let them use different objects to make textures. You can use anything like string, pieces of cloth, end of paintbrushes, sponges, etc! Tell the kids their paper cannot just be a plain color. After those pieces of papers dry, hand out a master copy of a rabbit body (get any printable) and tell them they have to fill the rabbits body with the fun masterpieces they just created. They can cut all different shapes but they have to cover the rabbit's body. They are also allowed to use a black sharpie to make any physical features on the bunny. This rabbit turned out awesome and they added a carrot with grass for the finishing touch. You can make these for Easter or just fun fun!
