Perfect for a Christmas kids craft, here is a cheap one to make! We made a gingerbread man out of an empty recycled toilet paper roll! I'm obsessed with glitter so that's why we used so much but you can always use just regular construction paper. We made our gingerbread into a Christmas ornament just by poking a hole and tying a string in the back. It could be a very cute and frugal gift for someone! ;)
Materials Needed:-Toilet paper roll
-Glue/tape
-Glitter
-Ribbon (optional)
Glue and roll a piece of brown construction paper around the toilet paper roll. Then cut out a circle for the head and two arms.
Draw a face on the gingerbread man; I used black marker for the eyes and glue/red glitter for the mouth.
Bend the arm pieces a little at the edge and glue them to the side of the gingerbread man. Make sure you hold it long enough so it sticks.
Put three dots of glue down the body to make the buttons! Then sprinkle with any color glitter you want.
I added a green sparkle bow tie around the gingerbread man's neck. Then I went and added the "frosting" on the arms using white sparkle martha stewart glitter.
Cut out two feet and tape them to the inside of the toilet paper roll on the bottom. Poke a hole in the back if you want to put a ribbon in.
I think he turned out quite cute!
