I am so ready for Christmas to be here! We made a cute little reindeer craft for the kiddos today. We used their handprints as Rudolph's antlers and they turned out adorable. We didn't have a pom-pom like most people would use so we found some tissue paper that worked just fine! I think this is a fun art project to do with your children around the Holidays and especially Christmas. You could even make this into an ornament if you want!
Materials Needed:
-Toilet paper roll
-Cereal box cardboard
-Tape/Glue
First trace your child's hands on cardboard (we used a cereal box!) then cut them out.
Cut two slits across from each other on the toilet paper roll and stick the hand prints in them. Take a black marker and draw the reindeer's eyes!
Cut a small square of red tissue paper and roll it up into a ball. Make sure it's a compact ball. Roll a piece of tape and stick the red ball onto the toilet paper roll. This is going to be Rudolph's red nose!
I then drew a mouth coming down from the nose with a black marker. I found some shiny red ribbon from my Christmas box and tied it around the reindeer's body 3 times then tied it in the back.
There you have it! A happy little reindeer ready for Christmas!
