Today I had to try the hype about kool-aid easter egg dyeing! To tell you the truth, I was kind of disappointed! Maybe I didn't stir them enough to dissolve but when I lifted the eggs out of the kool-aid it had a thick film on it which make them look spotty but not smooth. If you wipe it off with a towel right away it would work though. I also found out that the yellow lemonade flavor hardly had any color! Next time I would add some orange with the yellow to make it brighter. Grape also turned out more of a black dark color than purple. Overall, it smelled delicious dyeing the eggs and I would do it again!
Supplies Needed:
- Kool-aid packets
- ⅔ cup water (or ½ for brighter colors)
- Cups
- Spoon
- Hard boiled eggs
Put the water in the cups and mix in the kool-aid packet. Stir ALOT to dissolve the colors. Put a hard boiled egg in the cup and leave sit for 15 minutes, turning with a spoon once between. Take it out and let dry!
