To go along with my heart shaped animal series, we made a paper plate heart cow today! It's easy for kids to make and involves cutting/gluing practice.
- Black and pink paper
- Googly eyes
- Glue
- Scissors
- Paper plate
Start by cutting out the cow's nose, ears, and spots. Glue the spots on the paper plate first (we made them into rounded heart shapes).
Glue the pieces onto the plate and draw a smile! So cute!

We loved these! I made them with my day care children and we added a little poem to the back reading:
I am a Valentine's Day cow,
I would like to take a bow.
My spots are shaped like hearts
And I like to eat sweet tarts.
I am here to say to you
I hope that you are not blue
And I very much love you!
MOOOO!
The parents loved it too :)
