One of my favorite books to read to children is "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" which is very popular! They always laugh when you come to the flip pages where he eats everything :) I think this story is great for incorporating into a child's birthday party. I searched high and low to find the BEST and most creative cakes I could, so here they are!

Instead of having a whole cake for your birthday, consider getting this cupcake cake! It is very cool how the green cupcakes are lined up to make the caterpillar's body. This would be an easy DIY cake as well.
