This popular tie dye Easter egg decorating idea is going around (saw it on One Little Project) and just had to try for myself!

Supplies Needed:

  • Food Coloring
  • Hard boiled egg
  • Kleenex or Paper Towel
  • Rubberband/hair binder
  • Spray bottle/water

Directions:

I started by wrapping a hard boiled egg inside a paper towel and tied it off with a hair binder. I then

randomly dropped colors on it leaving spaces in between with neon food coloring. Use a spray bottle and spray water all over so the colors bleed together. Let it sit in the egg carton for a few hours until it drys then unwrap it!

For this one I used a kleenex and it left a more smoother appearance but you could use non-textured paper towels as well.

You’re supposed to use a spray bottle but I didn’t have one so I filled a cup with water and dripped it off my fingers until the colors spread. I left it to dry overnight and it really was like opening a present! I couldn’t believe how many colors the egg formed when I only used red, yellow, and green.
