Valentine’s Day Popsicle Stick Puzzles (Kids Craft)
Looking for a fun craft to do with the kids this Valentine’s? I’m always on the lookout for new craft ideas. Â I recently seen a craft stick puzzle and I loved it. I knew right away that my boys would love it too! But I wanted to make my own version and have the boys help.
This would also be a great Valentine’s for the classroom, if you want to go the non candy route.
For this fun craft you’re going to need:
SUPPLIES
- Popsicle Sticks
- Paint
- Paint Brush
Getting Started
Pick out your craft sticks. Â You will need a total of 10 sticks for each puzzle.
Step 2 – Paint Sticks
Add two coats of paint for the background color of the puzzle. Let each coat dry 10 minutes.
Step 3 – Add DesignÂ
Now the fun part, adding your design! Â My pattern for this one was inspired by my new Starbucks cup (LOVE IT).
Press the sticks close together so that you can paint on your designs, it makes it a lot easier.
Finishing Touches
Now that you’re finished, it’s time to have some fun. Â My three year old is obsessed with puzzles right now and he grabbed these right away to play with.
I plan on making these with my sons class for their Valentine’s Day party. I think they’ll have a great time thinking of ways to make their puzzles. Plus you can make a puzzle like this for any holiday!
