Here's a cute craft idea for kids! We made an apple out of a recycled toilet paper roll. Great for teaching about the letter A or doing a fall activity about an apple orchard! Just note that you will need to help the children with this project as it is kind of tedious. Have fun!
Materials Needed:
-Red, green, and brown construction paper
-Toilet paper roll
-Tape
-Scissors
Cut strips from a red piece of paper then cut a little off at the end otherwise the apple will look like a pumpkin.
Put a piece of tape on the end of the red strip and stick it on the inside of the toilet paper roll. Then do the same on the bottom of the tube. Make sure one side is flat so that the apple can stand up on its own.
In the spaces between, add more strips of red paper to fill in the apple.
Tape the brown stem and a green leaf onto the back of the apple inside. There you have yourself a cute little recycled apple craft!
