Today I am so excited to share with you a painting idea that you can do with your kids! This is part of a Painting Challenge hosted by Messy Little Monster. I chose to do painting on aluminum foil because it is often overlooked for a painting canvas!
Materials Needed:
- Paint
- Aluminum Foil
- Paintbrush
- Painters Tape
For the rainbow I learned definitely stick with foam brushes. Regular brushes work fine but he had to dip it every few inches to get more paint, where the foam he didn't have to do that. And the foam made that really cool streak of colors that you see in the pictures below.
In the pictures above he wanted to mix all the colors on the brush and write his favorite number (1,000....he thinks the fastest race cars have that number) but anyway...paint seems to stay separated nicely on aluminum!
When you rip off a sheet of tin foil, tape all three sides with painters tape so it stays in place. The little guy loved painting on foil! He had just as much paint on him as the foil by the end! They will definitely be doing this one again.
