Homemade Ant Killer with borax
I had an infestation of little ants by my kitchen sink and was desperate! This recipe literally made the ants disappear within 24 hours. Not one seen after I set the bait!! Also, try our maple syrup version or fire ant killer!
When should I put down ant killer? |
You can put the borax mixture down any time of day but I would recommend just before bed. Ants are active all day as well though.
How to make an ant killer? |
You will just need three ingredients from your kitchen!
Are ant killers safe for pets? |
No! Please keep away from all pets (dogs, cats, etc.) as borax is toxic.

3-Ingredient Ant Killer
Ingredients
- ¾ cup warm water
- 1 TBSP borax
- ⅓ cup sugar
Instructions
- Warm up your water then stir in the borax and sugar.
- Mix until completely dissolved.
- Soak some cotton balls in it and stick on wax paper or a paper plate near the ants. Watch them swarm and never come back!
