Today's craft idea came from a big mistake I made, haha! We were originally going to make a candy cane but once I made the cuts, it looked like angel arms! So we ended up making an Angel girl out of a recycled toilet paper roll. She turned out super cute holding a candle and the painting is always fun! I think this could be a great craft for sunday school, religious programs, or just for Christmas, enjoy!
Start out with an empty toilet paper roll. You want to flatten it and cut a "candy cane" shape out of it (see below picture) then cut the top part off.
You can kind of see better where I made the cuts in this picture.
Get out some blue paint and make the angel's "dress." Cut out a little strip of green paper to make the candle stick and a flame out of yellow paper.
I then grabbed a yellow pipe cleaner and bent it in a halo shape. I cut out some yellow hair and a face. Glue them all together and then tape it from the back to attach it to the angel body.
There you have a pretty little angel art project :)
