Today my little cousins and I crafted some cardboard tube butterflies using toilet paper rolls! They turned out so adorable and we used a tissue paper technique for the wings.

Supplies Needed:

  • Cardboard tube
  • Hot glue gun
  • Pom poms
  • Pipecleaners
  • Tissue paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Googly eyes

Start by folding a white piece of cardstock in half and draw half a butterfly wing. Unfold it and cut it out. Glue tissue paper pieces all over it and let dry.

Paint your cardboard tube with a sponge. After that's dry, hot glue the wings on the back as well as the antennas and eyes!
