Supplies:

  1. Felt
  2. Scissors
  3. X-acto knife
  4. Hot glue gun
  5. Twigs
  6. Cutting pliers
  7. Foam board
  8. Craft paper
  9. Googly eyes
  10. Fabric glue
  11. Owl and squirrel pattern

Step-1: Collect dry twigs and small bamboo sticks. You can also use craft sticks in case you can’t find any dry twigs. To make the frame I’m using foam board but you can also use cardboard or hardboard.

Step-2: Prepare your frame by cutting it to the required size. Also cut a colored cardstock paper for the background. Prepare the dry sticks according to the frame size. Use cutting pliers to cut the twigs.

Step-3: Glue the cardstock paper on the foam board. Use hot glue gun to glue the dry twigs on the board to form the border of the frame.

Step-4: You can search the internet for simple owl and squirrel pattern or simply do a free hand drawing like I did. Draw and cut out the pattern the paper.

Step-5: Cut out pieces from felts according to the template. Use a pencil or chalk to trace the patterns on the felt before cutting them.

Step-6: Use fabric glue to attach the felt pieces and complete the owl and squirrel. For the owl I used googly eyes.

Step-7: Now simply glue the owl and squirrel on frames. You can add more details to the frame. I glued some dry leaves on the sides.
