Make some beautiful fall leaf mason jar lanterns! So fun to make and pretty to display!
Materials needed:
- Mason Jar
- Faux Leaves*
- Foam brush
- Mod Podge (can also use white glue thinned with water)
- Hay/raffia
Instructions:
Make sure your jar is clean. You can also wipe down with alcohol, if needed.
Begin to stick the leaves on by adding a layer of glue to the jar. Add a leaf and add a layer of glue over the top of the leaf, as well.
Do this until your jar is covered with leaves.
*Tip. You can overlap the leaves or leave a little bit of space between to allow more candle light to shine through.
Add raffia to the top of the jar and tie into a bow.
Allow to completely dry.
Add a candle and enjoy!
*The flatter leaves work better. The ones with a lot of ridges are a bit harder to work with. However, you can flatten them out a little by using an iron on a low setting. Lay out the leaves on a heat resistant surface. Put a sheet or towel on top and carefully iron.
