Here is our preschool Christmas fireplace bulletin board we made out of the kids artwork mostly! We just put red paper for the background and drew brick lines with white chalk. Then we added a black paper border to make it look like a fireplace. add some brown paper logs and some ashes with chalk. Put a strip of brown paper on top to make it look like a mantle.
We had the preschoolers color their own paper stockings and put their names on it. Then we had them make hot cocoa cups out of paper and real marshmellows (these were a hit!) You can also add some white puffy paint (half shaving cream, half glue) to make it look like whipped cream. We did a couple puffy paint candles and added paper candy canes by the stockings. All the kids love walking by it to see their art! This is an easy Christmas bulletin board idea for your classroom or the hall!
This hot cocoa craft made me laugh! It was obviously a Christmas gift for his mom :)
