Handprint Shrinky Dink Keychains

These darling little shrinky dink keychain charms were made by Tara Jenkin’s kiddos! How fun for moms to receive these to put on their keys! Even grandparent gifts! We’ve also made shrinky dink fridge magnets.

Here are the Supplies Needed with links to Amazon:
First, put shrink plastic on the table and get those little hands ready for some colorful fun! Have the kids press their hands into a rainbow ink pad and firmly press them onto the plastic. Now, sprinkle some magic embossing powder over the wet ink and tap off the excess (like you’re adding fairy dust!). Cut around the handprint, leaving a little room to breathe.
Punch a hole at the top, and you’re ready to bake! Pop that parchment-lined cookie sheet into the oven (325 degrees for 1-3 minutes – easy peasy!). When it comes out, add some charms or key rings, and voilà ! You’ve got yourself a one-of-a-kind shrinky dink masterpiece! Oh, and don’t worry if it curls up – just use an oven mitt to press it flat, or stick it back in the oven for a couple more minutes. Easy!

After you’ve created your very own shrinky dink masterpiece, the possibilities are endless! Turn it into a one-of-a-kind keychain that adds a personal touch to your backpack, purse, or keys. You can also use them as bag charms, zipper pulls, or even gift tags. Get creative and add some beads, sequins, or other embellishments to give your shrinky dink keychain some extra flair.
They also make special gifts for friends and family. They are such a cute keepsake for a mom on Mother’s Day or a grandparent! Whatever you choose, your shrinky dink keychain is sure to bring a smile to your face and a touch of personality to your everyday items!
