How to Make Cloud Dough
You will need cornstarch, baby lotion, and food coloring if you want to make different colors! The recipe below makes 4 small balls or 1 giant one. My son loved to mix the colors together, he said the pink and blue one looked like cotton candy! He also kept telling me to “pet” the dough to see how soft it was lol!
To get started, mix together the lotion and cornstarch in a bowl using a rubber spatula. At first, the mixture will be sticky, but don’t worry – just pick it up with your hands and knead it until it comes together. Once the mixture is smooth, roll it into a big ball. Then, separate it into 3-4 smaller balls, depending on how many different colors you want to create.
Flatten each ball slightly and press your thumb into the middle of each one to create a small indentation. Place the flattened balls onto a piece of parchment paper to protect your work surface. Now it’s time to add some color! Drop 1-2 drops of food coloring into the thumbprint indentation on each ball. Put on a pair of gloves and get ready to get creative! Mold each ball of dough until the white is completely covered and the color is evenly distributed. Once you’re done, remove your gloves and you’re ready to play with your new colorful creations!
