Have your kids make their own Frankenstein craft using puffy paint! It's always a fun activity for kids to get a little messy. Puffy paint is made of shaving cream/glue and has an awesome 'puffy' texture when it's dry! This is a great Halloween art project to do for the holiday.

Materials Needed:

  • Barbasol shaving cream
  • Elmer's glue
  • Paintbrush
  • Green/black paint
  • White paper/ black marker

Start by mixing some glue and shaving cream until it gets "stiff peaks" in the mixture. After that add a drop of green paint in one bowl and black in the other.

Using a pencil, free-draw your own Frankenstein face shape on a piece of white card stock paper then start painting it in. Make sure you leave room for the black hair!

For the facial features we just dipped our paintbrush in plain black paint to make the mouth/scar. For the eyes we cut out two white ovals and colored the pupils with a black sharpie. If you press them against the face it will stick when it dries. Remember not to let kids touch it for a few hours/ overnight until it is completely dried :)

I love this project and all the other ones like this. I have triplets plus one and they will be so happy to do this one! I have a question. Does this get hard? I was wondering if you could use this on like parchment paper and then pull it off and just have the image left?

    Thank you!
