A classic winter activity for kids is to make snowflakes but instead of using paper, grab some doilies and make them into beautiful watercolor snowflakes! These make pretty garland to hang up in your room too!
Materials Needed:
- Watercolors
- Paintbrush
- Mini doilies
- Scissors
Have the kids start by painting the doily with watercolors - I think blue and purple turn out best. Let them dry for an hour or two.
Once the doilies are completely dry, keep folding it in half until it looks like a triangle. Have the kids cut out shapes on each side of the folded doily. If you cut at the top it also creates cool designs!
