I have had a million acorns fall onto my patio these past couple months and I finally got around to picking them all up. Instead of throwing them away, I thought why not make acorn flowers for a kids craft! They turned out super cute and were very easy to make.
This is perfect for a Spring craft!
You will need acorns, acrylic paint, a paintbrush, scissors, green construction paper, and glue.
All the acorns that fell in my backyard had the tops already off so we just cut the little stem part. This will be the center of the flower!
Paint the acorn top with some blue paint and let dry.
Grab your acorns (you will need 5 for each flower) and cover them in pink paint. We got creative and after the pink dried, added some blue marks to the inside of some.
Glue the acorns in a flower shape, with the tops in the middle.
Cut out stems and leaves with green construction paper (we used cardstock) and glue them down! There you have some pretty flowers to put on a homemade card or whatever else you'd like!
