Yesterday a good friend invited me over to craft up some breast cancer awareness bottles to help raise money for a close friend that was recently diagnosed. These would be great to make for craft fairs, gifts, or just decorations for your home. The famous quote "Live, Laugh, Love" worked perfectly for this project.

Materials Needed:

  • Pink and white acrylic paint (for the words)
  • Pencil
  • Wine bottles/mason jars
  • Pink/white spray paint for glass

Start by taking off any stickers on the wine bottles (one of them had the labels left on and it showed through.) Put some newspaper down and spray paint them completely, even on the inside of the bottle/jars. Don't spray it on thick or you will get drips! Two coats may be necessary to get the preferred vibrant color.

Once the jars and bottles are dry, stencil the outline of the letters with pencil. We made the mason jars each have one letter of the word "HOPE" and the wine bottles have "Live Laugh Love" on each side with the l's in the shape of a ribbon. In the middle of the "O" on the hope jar, draw a ribbon...we also used glitter paint to go over it for some sparkle.

Let dry and you've got yourself some beautiful decor for your home or gifts!
