Groundhog Day Craft For Kids (Paper Plate)

Here’s a fun groundhog day craft for kids! Will the groundhog see his shadow or not?
You will need a paper plate, yellow/white/brown paper, pipe cleaner, scissors, glue, and a black marker.

Start by having the kids paint the paper plate with brown paint (or marker). Cut it in half or a little less. Cut out a yellow circle and strips to make a sun. Then cut out a white cloud. Using a pipe cleaner, wrap a brown piece of paper around it to stick the groundhogs head on.
You can see a better tutorial for making the groundhog’s face here. Glue all the pieces to the plate except the groundhog because he can pop up and down with the stick. Have fun!
