I was babysitting my 5 year old friend one day and we got the idea to make a Despicable Me minion ring! It was so simple and cheap to do that I decided to share with you all! I love making crafts with kids where they get excited about the finished product. This could be a great idea for Despicable me themed birthday parties as well. You could have this craft as one of the activities of the day! Please share if you like!
Materials Needed:
-White sheet of paper
-Yellow, black, and blue marker
-Scissors
-Tape
The first step is to draw a tiny minion body with a yellow marker. Then add some crazy little hair with a black marker. My minion was about the size of the top of my pointer finger (all depends on how small the child's finger is!)
I then cut out a small white circle out of plain paper to make a 3D effect (you could also just leave a white circle on the first step)
I added the minion's glasses, a smile, and some blue overalls.
Then you color two yellow rectangles coming out from where the minion's arms should be. This is going to be where it wraps around the finger. I did mine extra long in case it was too short.
You take your scissors and cut along where you drew the lines. Wrap it around the child's finger and measure to see if it fits. I used a tiny bit of tape to secure it shut.
Taa-daaa! Here is the finished Despicable Me minion ring! The little 5 year old boy thought it was so cool he wore it the whole day. He also made sure to tell me to take it off when I wash my hands or the minion will melt, aww LOL! I hope you make these rings because they literally cost nothing!
