Snails may not be the most fascinating creatures on the planet but they are fun to play with! Here I have created a list of links of cool crafts for kids to do to learn about them. I also think that you can incorporate all of these projects with the movie Turbo. Just paint or color these snails bright oranges and blues! You can make a race car track by cutting out out a doughnut shape with black construction paper. Also, you make a checkered pattern of black and white on a strip of paper to make the finish line! Easy! And if you love Gary the snail from SpongeBob just paint your snails light pink and blue with a red swirl and 5 purple spots on the shell.

How to make Handprint Snail Shells- Here's a quick and easy way to make the shape of a snail's body by making a fist with your hand and spreading paint over it. All you have to do is use your fist as a stamper on a paper then draw on the eyes!

Tissue Paper Snail Craft - If you have extra tissue paper laying around from christmas or birthdays, get it out! You can crunch little pieces up and make the snail's shell with them.

Turbo the Snail Toilet Paper Roll Craft- Here is a creative craft using a recycled empty toilet paper roll! All you need is paint, glitter, glue, and scissors.

Printable Snail Shell to Paint- Here is a free template of the shell so you can print it out and paint it! Check out the bright colors they used to blend, it looks great.

Turbo the Snail Zip Line Racing- This is SUCH a cool idea! You can make your own little snails out of paper and attach them to balloons to race them! Kids would love this Turbo activity.

Mike & Ike Gary the Snail Portrait-  This is a MUST see! Wow! All you need to do is buy a couple boxes of mike & ikes and use a hot glue gun to make gary the snail! I really want to do this now!

Fingerprint Snails- I always love crafts that involve using kiddos fingers! Here's an idea where you just need paint and a sharpie to do it.

Paint a Turbo Snail Dinner Plate- You will need to have Facebook to see this picture but if you can find a kitchen plate shaped like a snail (I know there are those fun painting shops at the mall) then you can paint it like Turbo! Just have a picture to go off of when you decorate. You could also just use an old white plate laying around for kids to craft on!

Paper Plate Snail Craft- Make a snail out of a paper plate where you cut it in spirals and paint it whatever colors you want. A good concept to incorporate in this craft is to teach your kids about mixing colors.

Pipecleaner Snails Craft- This is adorable. They used bright pink and purple pipecleaners and twisted them around to make them look like a snail shell! This should be super easy to make.

CD-Rom Snail Craft- This snail is soo creative, I kind of wonder how I didn't think of it sooner! You use an old CD laying around and put it behind a piece of paper with swirls cut out of it so it shows through. It can be a rainbow snail if you move it in the light!

Swirly FingerPaint Snail Plate - Use different colors of paints to make a swirl rainbow on a paper plate with your fingers!

Polka Dot Clay Snail Craft- Shape a snail out of yellow clay, this is great for sensory learning!

Crochet Turbo The Snail- You'll need to be logged into Facebook to see this but a lady has crocheted Turbo, how cute! If you know someone who is great at stitching then you could probably ask them to replicate the picture or create a free pattern.
