How to Get Rid of Mice in Car

The dreaded finding of mouse droppings in your car...or the nest in your glove box, ugh. Don't fret! You can get rid of them but it will take some patience and persistence! Most engine wires are made from soy based products so they will eat it and cost you a fortune to get it fixed!

But first of all you need to get rid of all the food crumbs and sterilize the car. Try the following ways to get rid of them for good...
Dryer Sheets
Place a bunch of dryer sheets in it such as the glove box, under the seats, etc. Be sure to change the dryer sheets every week to keep the scent strong enough or they will use it for their nests. Also, buy the full scented brands.
Peppermint
Another great way to keep mice out is Peppermint Essential Oil. Place a few drops on a cotton ball or tea bag and place them around the inside of the car.
Irish Spring Soap
Irish Spring Soap has a strong scent that deters mice as well. Just cut an Irish spring soap bar into fourths and put the pieces in the trunk, under seats, etc.
Traps
Place mouse traps on the floor of your car covered in peanut butter or on the outside around the tires. Use bait blocks where they chew off a piece and go die. You can also buy poison mice killer pellets to sprinkle around but use with caution if you have pets and children.
Mothballs
Get a under-bed storage container and fill it with a few boxes of moth balls. Place it the long way so you can pull right over it when you drive in the garage! Or line the outer perimeter of your car with moth balls. Don’t put them inside as the smell is hard to get out but leaving them outside is still effective.
Ultrasonic Pest Repeller
The Ultrasonic Pest Repellent is effective for an area up to 800~1200 Square Feet such as a garage. It has a combination of optical, ultrasonic and electromagnetic waves and is highly effective from keeping pests away.
