Make this fun dollar store fish bowl snowman...it even lights up! I got the bowls, scarf, and hat at the Dollar Tree.

Here's a video of how I made it...

Print This Recipe

Lighted Fish Bowl Snowman

Materials

  • 2 Small Fish Bowls (Candle Holders) Found at Dollar Tree
  • Mod Podge
  • Glitter
  • Snowman Hat Ornament Found at Dollar Tree
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Battery Operated String lights
  • Scarf
  • 3 Buttons
  • Hot Glue Gun/ E6000 Glue

Instructions

  • Start by painting inside the 2 bowls with mod podge. Get a nice even layer.
  • Shake glitter all over the inside and tap out excess. Let dry (takes a few hours).
  • Put the battery operated lights inside the bottom bowl. Do 2 hot glue marks on the edges and stick the bowl on top. It comes off easy if your lights die. If you want it to be permanent use E6000 Glue. Let dry.
  • Cut a strip of scarf and tie around the neck. Glue on buttons.
  • Cut off string of the snowman hat ornament and glue on top.
  • Paint on a face and let dry.
  • Turn on the lights and enjoy!
