Go on a Candy Cane Hunt
Here’s a fun winter activity we do every year – a candy cane hunt! Once it snows, hang colored candy canes all over the woods! It’s more fun when you can find a trail to walk through.

The white and red candy canes are harder to see in the snow so if you have older kids, that’s a good idea to try!
We also do candy cane hunts inside during the holidays! My son is always excited to look in the Christmas tree, hanging on chairs, lights, you name it! Just make sure to count the candy canes BEFORE you hide them otherwise they’ll have no idea if they got them all!
