Make this AWESOME St. Patrick's Day glitter slime using gold leaf foil! It is gorgeous and looks just like real gold to the kids!

Supplies:

  • Gold Leaf Foil Sheets
  • ½ cup Clear Elmer’s Glue
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons Saline Solution
  • Measuring Cups
  • ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
  • Green Food Coloring

Directions:

Step 1: Combine ½ cup of water with ½ teaspoon of baking soda in a bowl and stir until completely dissolved.

Step 2: Next add in your ½ cup of clear Elmer’s glue and mix well.

Step 3: Now add in a few drops of your green food coloring and stir.

Step 4: Now it’s time to activate your slime using the saline solution. Start by adding in a little at a time and repeat until the mixture starts to clump up and starts forming a ball. It will begin to come off the sides of the bowl and stick together.

Step 5: Start kneading the slime with your hands. It will be sticky at first but as you continue to knead it the slime will become less sticky. If it remains sticky add in more saline solution 1 teaspoon at a time until you get your desired consistency.

Step 6: Once your slime is done you can start adding your gold leaf foil. Lay your slime on a clean surface and cover with as many sheets of foil as you’d like. Use your fingers to break the foil apart. You’ll see the foil start to break into cool patterns as you mix and twirl it together!
